...to lift up the name of Jesus Christ as we take His gospel to the lost and forgotten...
Missions
Mexico
It was in 1997 that Newsong Church first saw Mexico. Then just 1 year old we assembled a team and went to minister in Mexico.
Our ministry was mainly childrens’ events, night services and door to door evangelism. We became great friends with many pastors
and missionaries. We were led in large part by Alvin and Margaret Lee. Since 1997 we have made 30+ trips to Mexico and we
have been the recipients of so many blessings that God has given us. Today we are supporting Voice in the Wilderness Ministries
run by Steve & Theresa Frey in Cd. Valles. We are also blessed to support Joshua & Allison Long Herrera, missionaries to Mexico
in Juchitan, Oaxaca.
Caribbean
Several of us at Newsong have been to the Caribbean. We first visited there in 1999. Since then there have been 21 trips. Steve
and Cindi have planted 2 Bible schools with a heart to raise and train leaders in the body of Christ. We have seen well over 200
graduates of these schools in that time. Bible schools continue to train pastors who graduate twice a year.
1st Nation/Cherokee
For over ten years Newsong has had a heart for the people of Kenwood. In the recent years we have helped with outreaches supporting
Holy Mountain Church in Kenwood with Pastor Sue Chancellor. We have committed to support them in prayer and ministry events. Holy
Mountain has matured and been a huge blessing and ministry to the community of Kenwood. God is moving in Kenwood, OK!!
1st Nation/Sioux
Newsong first saw the Rosebud Reservation of the great Sioux Nation in 2010. In June of 2013 about 25 people from Newsong went
to a mission in Ideal, SD with Pastor Alfred Oldlodge. We have connected with them in spirit and we are committed to return to
Ideal and surrounding Sioux towns in June of 2014. Also Alfred and his family are planning to come to Grove and Newsong in March
2014 for the first time. Our ministry there is outreach, children’s ministry, some building projects, deliverance and pastoral support.
Zambia
In 2005 we felt like the Lord was calling us as a church body to help be a part of the solution to the orphan epidemic that was
happening in Africa due to the AIDS virus. In 2006 we went to Mufulira, Zambia where the Lord led us to open Green Forest School
& Orphanage. GFSO was opened in 2012 and has become home to 8 children in that area that have become orphaned. This is huge area
of need and there are so many more children that need help. We are called and committed to this crisis in Zambia. In that time frame
we have made several trips to Zambia for this effort. Ministry opportunities are there now for us to care for and teach children.
